Marin Architects proudly unveils 130 East 177th Street, a 12-story, mixed-use residential structure designed for the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, located in the Mount Hope neighborhood of the Bronx. Standing at 123 feet, this project provides 78 modern residences, with 52,597 square feet dedicated to living space and 3,390 square feet for community facilities on the ground floor. The building, constructed by KSK Construction, offers a wide range of amenities, including a gym, library, and three rooftop terraces.
The striking "offset-stacking effect" on the building’s brick façade sets it apart, blending contemporary design with the classical and modern architectural styles in the neighborhood. This visual identity enhances the Bronx skyline while offering residents a refined urban living experience.
Despite its compact form, the architects maximized interior square footage, overcoming design challenges while maintaining functionality and aesthetic appeal. The building also incorporates office space and parking, catering to both residential and professional needs. With its unique design and thoughtful planning, 130 East 177th Street stands as a forward-thinking project that marks Marin Architects' ongoing commitment to enhancing urban living in the Bronx.
