COMPLETION In progress

Between Parkside Place and Webster Avenue is a lovely narrow wooded area overlooking the Bronx River Parkway in Norwood, a neighborhood in the northwest Bronx. Originally considered part of Westchester County, Norwood was annexed in 1873 to New York City, along with the rest of the West Bronx. The rural landscape changed to a suburban one by the time of the turn of the 20th century.

The planned new complex presents a unique challenge due to the nature of the landscape. The site rises by 40 feet from Webster Avenue to Parkside Place, on a hillside of exposed rocks. Two 7-story attached apartment buildings will occupy the narrow parcel. The two residential towers will be long and slender in shape, deepening in the middle and thinning out at the ends, so as not to overshadow the existing structures nearby. Main entrance lobbies will be located on the fourth floor facing Parkside Place with additional entrances on the first floor facing Webster Avenue. Recreational space is planned for both rooftops. The buildings will also feature a 49-space parking garage, as well as storage for up to 44 bicycles. The project has been developed by Propco Holdings and UA Builders, and Marin Architects is responsible for the design.
